Stonegate CHC Community Celebration

Stonegate CHC Clinic Closed on Friday, April 17th

The Stonegate CHC Clinic at 150 Berry Road will be closed on Friday, April 17th due to construction. The clinic will reopen on Monday, April 20th.

In case of emergency, clients should call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. For other medical issues, clients can call 416-231-7070 to speak with the clinician on call or call back on Monday.

Our Islington location will be open. For questions regarding Stonegate CHC programs, counselling, tax clinic, or housing, please call us at 416-232-0700.

Message from Bev Leaver, Executive Director of Stonegate CHC

I am happy to report that the restoration of the lower level of Stonegate CHC are nearing completion. The Health Promotion Team will be moving back to our Berry Road location on April 22nd. We will take the next week to get settled and prepare our new program room and kitchen. Normal programs will resume at the beginning on May.

We are also excited to be adding a Physiotherapist to our team in early May.

Although the construction site appears idle, we have been very busy behind the scenes moving forward…

Community Meeting

Please join us for an important community meeting on Tuesday, February 10th, 2015 from 6:15 - 8:00 pm at St. Mark Catholic School, Auditorium - 45 Clover Hill Road.

There will be a panel of speakers including: City Councillor Justin Di Ciano, a representative from the Van Dyk Development Group, Stonegate CHC Executive Director Bev Leaver, and Peter Milczyn M.P.P.

Recovering From (another) Flood: Message from Bev Leaver


As many of you know, Stonegate CHC sustained major water damage in early September caused by a break in our sprinkler system.  Our entire basement was damaged and has been closed to us since September 3rd.  We are told that it will take up to six months to repair the basement. 

We were able to repurpose several rooms on the main level of the Health Centre to become 6 exam\treatment spaces and now have approval to proceed to convert other spaces to four additional exam\treatment rooms.  Clients using the care of our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitian,…

2014 Fundraiser for Fresh Food!

For the fifth season in a row, the Stonegate CHC is teaming up with the community to help put additional food on the table of those in need in our area. Our aim is to match last year’s Good Food Box Holiday Drive donations, in order to purchase over 300 Good Food Boxes for community members dealing with food and hunger issues.

Measles Vaccination

There have been 12 cases of measles in Ontario since January 2014. Some of these involve people from the Greater Toronto Area who travelled to South East Asia or Europe. Others did not travel but got sick with measles after coming into contact with people who did.

If you or your children have not yet been vaccinated against measles, we strongly urge you to consider doing so.
