Stonegate CHC’s Women’s Program is designed to reach out to women of all ages in the community. The Program offers women focused services and activities, and especially welcomes women who feel disadvantaged or isolated. Our team provides individual counselling and advocacy, and facilitates group workshops and activities on topics of special interest for women.

Women's Wednesday Program
The Women’s Wednesday Program is a safe place for women to meet, network, learn, remain active and have fun! Activities can include outings, physical exercise, healthy cooking and presentations by various health care professionals.
Please note, space is limited and referrals from Stonegate CHC healthcare providers and/or other staff are required in order to register and participate. A light lunch is served each week during the program and childcare and TTC tickets may be available upon request.
Women’s Wednesday Program runs every Wednesday from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Self-expression, arts and physical activity are used as means to express feelings, relieve stress, discover personal strengths, and increase self-confidence and self-esteem. Our groups offer a welcoming environment for participants to obtain information, meet other women with similar interests and express themselves.
Self-expression groups are usually offered 4 times a year for 8 or 10 week cycles, and can include the following:
- Art classes
- Aerobics classes
- Dance Classes
- Self-Esteem groups
Handicrafts for Women
This groups is designed for women to meet other women, socialize and work on projects that you want to finish, but never have the time. Bring your knitting, sewing and crocheting. This on-going group is free but requires pre-registration.
Handicrafts for Women meets every Thursday from 10:00 - 11:30 am.
Spanish Speaking Women's Group
Participants of the Spanish Speaking Women’s group have the opportunity to talk, meet, share, learn and enjoy a variety of activities, such as exercise, dance, healthy eating, arts and crafts and much more in a totally Spanish environment. These eight week sessions are designed not only for Spanish/latin American ladies, but for women that have learned and/or are in the process of learning and want to practice their Spanish skills.
