Housing Resource List: Emergency & Long-Term
- Anduhyaun Emergency Women's Shelter provides 24-hour emergency shelter for women, including those with disabilities or mobility challenges.
- Ernestine's Women's Shelter offers emergency shelter and support services for women, including those with disabilities. Features wheelchair accessible entrances, ramps, and bathrooms. Call at 416-746-3701.
- Fred Victor Bethlehem United Shelter is a 70-bed shelter providing emergency housing for individuals, including couples. Wheelchair accessible, with full disability accommodations. Call 416-364-8228.
- Nellie’s Shelter is an emergency shelter for women and children, including those in need of wheelchair access. Features accessible entrances and bathroom facilities. Call 416-461-1084.
- YWCA Toronto (Housing Support) provides emergency and transitional housing for women and their children, including those with mobility issues. Offers support services and advocacy for housing. Call 416-961-8101.
- The Red Door Family Shelter for women, children, and families, including those needing wheelchair access. Provides housing, meals, and case management. Call 416-915-5677 for inquiries.
- Toronto Homeless Shelters Central Intake offers information on all available shelters, including those with accessible services. Shelters can accommodate people in wheelchairs and with other special needs.
- All Saints Kingsway Anglican Church (Out of the Cold Program) runs every Friday night from the beginning of November through to the end of March from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Each week offer a hot meal, live music, a movie, popcorn, ttc tickets, new and used clothing, and access to computers and the internet. There are laundry and shower facilities onsite, as well as a Registered Nurse available to meet with guests. Call 416-233-1125.

- Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) is the largest provider of social housing in Toronto, offering permanent rental units to low-income individuals, families, and seniors, including those with mobility challenges. Call 416-981-5500.
- Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is a non-profit organization that builds and renovates homes for low-income families, including those with special needs or mobility issues. Call 416-755-7353.
- YWCA Toronto Housing Support Program provides permanent affordable housing for women and their families, including those with disabilities. Call 416-961-8101.
- Access Housing Program (City of Toronto) offers housing options and support for individuals with physical disabilities, including those in need of accessible housing. Call 416-338-4766.
- WoodGreen Community Services – Accessible Housing provides permanent, affordable housing options for individuals with disabilities, including wheelchair-accessible units. Call 416-645-6000.
- The Centre for Independent Living in Toronto (CILT) helps people with disabilities find accessible, affordable housing options in Toronto and offers advocacy for barrier-free living. Call 416-599-2458.
- Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA) offers affordable housing to low-income individuals, including those with disabilities.
- Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy (MTML) – Housing Assistance provides assistance with housing searches and resources for individuals with mobility challenges, along with a range of other services. Call 416-313-1919.
- Affordable Rental Housing Development in Ontario focuses on creating affordable and accessible rental housing for individuals with disabilities. Many of these developments may have waiting lists, so it’s essential to apply early.
