
Staying active is one of the most important things we can do for our health. Stonegate CHC offers free activities to promote physical health and well being. We offer programs to encourage clients and neighbourhoods to get active.
The programs offered include:
Gentle Fitness For Seniors
Are you interested in increasing your fitness levels, gaining more energy and learning more about health, wellness and nutrition? Join this gentle fitness program for older adults (55 years of age and older). Offered at Stonegate CHC in partnership with ESS Support Services a certified fitness instructor leads participants through low impact cardio, resistance and flexibility training. Yoga
Stonegate CHC offers free yoga classes for 8 weeks at a time over the course of the year. The programming is quarterly for the community. Yoga classes take place on Tuesdays. For more information, please see our program calendar.
Dance & Sweat
This class is a great way to get moving and get fit while having fun with low impact dance cardio, yet high-energy that involves Latin inspired music and dance. Please check our calendar for exact dates.
Open Gym
Come take advantage of this great opportunity! You will have access to equipment that includes treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, free weights, exercise mats, exercise balls and fitness videos. You must be 14 or older to attend and parent consent is needed for those under 16 years old. Open Gym is available on specific days and times and registration is required to use the equipment for half hour intervals.
